I’m Raakel Elzy, M.A., BCBA, LBA — a behavioral health executive, consultant, and clinician with nearly 20 years of experience in ABA and integrated care.

My career began in direct service as a special education teacher and clinician providing ABA services to children and families. Over time, I moved into executive leadership, overseeing multi-site clinical operations, program development, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary teams. Across every role, I noticed the same challenge: passionate, highly skilled professionals often lack the systems, structure, and operational support needed to deliver sustainable, high-quality care.

Today, my work bridges both clinical practice and organizational leadership. I continue to provide individualized, evidence-based ABA services to clients and families while also partnering with behavioral health organizations to strengthen operations, develop scalable programs, improve quality outcomes, and build effective leadership structures.

What sets me apart is perspective. I understand this field from every angle — direct care, clinical leadership, and executive operations. Whether supporting a family navigating a new diagnosis or helping an organization through growth and change, I bring strategic insight, operational expertise, and a grounded, collaborative approach focused on meaningful outcomes for the people being served.

Ruinous empathy usually comes from good intentions, not bad leadership. Radical Candor by Kim Scott was one of the first leadership books I read and it still guides me today. When we do not challenge directly, people miss clarity, growth, and trust. Leadership isn’t about choosing between empathy and expectations.
